First of all, apologies for the lack of activity during the past few months, if you'll allow me to come straight to the point, my mother recently passed away due to cancer. I won't go into exact details, but that has been the reason for the lack of activity on my behalf. While she was relatively okay since her diagnosis a few years ago, it was only in the last couple of months that her health deteriorated. I will endeavor to continue creating my assortment of work, as she was pleased to know that I had a form of creative outlet. I'll (very quickly) chat about the episode first, then touch on some of the many happenings over the past two or so weeks of the fandom threatening to implode / explode / spontaneously combust and any other disaster that might occur. I found this episode to be a bit lacking then usual. The animation was top-notch as always, but the one thing that let it down was the plot. I've always accepted that this show has fairly simple plotlines, and that's okay, considering the target demographic, but it doesn't work when the plot makes no sense and/or has gaping holes in it. I'll spend the vast majority of this journal talking about the recently released documentary, but I'll give a very brief spoiler free thought on the recent episode. It was good. As other people have said, the ending could have been a bit longer and more in-depth, but I think they did quite a good job considering the tight time limit of the show.
